As we move into the next phase of this essential project, it will take much needed financial support to provide the services, keep the doors open and bring hope to those who depend on the Spartanburg Opportunity Center. Sponsorships
The following are sponsorship opportunities as we renovate the center to better support our efforts and keep the center fully functional:
Secure Storage room - With a lack of housing and space to store their clothing and other items, this area is where our guests are able to safely store their belongings. They are given a 17 gallon tub and an ID card to check out the tubs to retrieve what they need. This area is a large room that will take our capacity to storage from the current 76 tubs up to potentially 240 tubs.
Clothing Closet - This area will provide our guest with the opportunity to receive clothing that is much needed. There will be changing rooms, racks of clothing, shelving and areas where they can receive items to help them in their daily challenges. Tents, sleeping bags, blankets, ponchos, flashlights, umbrellas and other items can be distributed here.
Multi-Use Classroom - This is an area where there will be multiple services that will help to lift guests out of poverty and help them on the path to self-sufficiency. Classes will be held to cover financial literacy, job readiness, legal assistance, benefits, employment interviews, cultural activities and other programming. Computers, audio visual and interactive equipment will assist those in need.
Sponsor Recognition:
Sponsors will receive recognition at the center with signage in their respective sponsored areas. They will also be placed on the Spartanburg Opportunity Center donor wall to recognize the many donors who join the fight against homelessness and poverty in the greater Spartanburg area.
